With your Visua Underwater Discriminating Metal Detector you can hunt for coins, relics, jewellery, gold and silver just about anywhere. It is versatile and easy to use.Primarily designed for use underwater and is suitable for both Freshwater and Saltwater environments but is also suitable and just as capable for use on land or in shallow waters. The Visua VSDIVEMD is suitable for use underwater up to a depth of 10 meters.
Simple to use; there are 3 settings on the control housing. Power/Volume, Discrimination Control and Sensitivity. The on-board LED light flashes red when a target is detected and also acts as a battery low indicator. The fully waterproof headphones and search coil are hard wired to the control box and battery access is from the fully waterproofed front panel using the screwdriver provided. The shaft is fully adjustable with a screw nut locking mechanism making it suitable for both adults and children.It can be adjusted to be between 60cm and 90cm (distance from the handle to the search coil). Having the stem fully adjusted to suit your height helps to provide the optimal reach and body position for detecting on land while having the detector at its shortest reach gives you optimal comfort and movement under water. The Metal Detector comes in a box 78.5cm x 27.5cm x 16cm.
This Visua model is able to differentiate between metal types by varying the discrimination and the sensitivity. Depending on the type of surface, it will detect items at a depth of around 16cm for an object the size of a 5 pence piece. The VSDIVEMD operates using 8 x AA batteries not included.Using good quality Alkaline batteries gives an approximate use time of 50 - 70 hours. VERY IMPORTANT: Please remember to test the product outside and away from obvious areas of metal. Houses have an array of metal items inside pipes, cables, radiators etc.
